The Report Wizard
You can open the Report Wizard by selecting Report Wizard in the New dialog accessible through the New... command in the File menu.
Using the Report Wizard you can create a complete report template in a minute. But usually the Report Wizard is used only to create a framework for the report and then the Report Editor is used to improve the appearance of the report and to implement additional features, not available thought the wizard. To create a complete report using Report Wizard you need to go through 5 simple steps.
On the first step you can select the database fields you want to include in your report and to set their order of appearance and format them. The Results database field names displayed in the Report Wizard differ from the names we usually use to describe these fields. See Results Database Field Names for additional information on field names.
On the second step you can group (or not) your report data and how to format them (using what fields). Also, you can change groups priorities (if there are multiple groups), sorting your data as first group, then second, etc.
On the third step you can select a report layout from the set of standard layouts and report orientations (portrait or landscape).
On the fourth step you can set the report style from the set of predefined styles (bold, casual, compact, corporate, formal or soft gray).
On the final step you can select to preview your created report or to show the report editor to make some changes to your report design.
