Online Help System: UniTest System
Tests and Test Results Protection
All UniTest System databases are protected using a proved enterprise strength encryption standard, the 448-bit Blowfish.
While almost any security related product gives you only 128-bit protection (currently the enterprise standard for encryption) we give you an almost ultimate protection using 448-bit encryption with an algorithm checked by 8 years of extensive research by security experts.
Blowfish is a choice of Intel Corporation for their router solutions (routers for creating virtual private networks - VPNs) since 1997.
Blowfish is a block cipher algorithm with variable key size.
Short Blowfish description:
Block cipher algorithm with secret key (symmetric encrypting).
64-bit block size.
Variable key size up to 448-bit.
The Blowfish algorithm was created by Bruce Schneier in 1993. The algorithm was created as a replacement to the old DES encryption standard.
After many checks by experts, who tried unsuccessfully to crack it, FlowFish has been recognized as one of the most secure and crypto-strong algorithms available.
A possible means to crack a Blowfish password is by a "brute force" attack (see Security Overview). But it's almost impossible to do so if your password conforms to the Password Security Requirements.
